Spirits can only manifest by expending energy, which the EMF detector should pick up.” Ron pushed the ON button, and within seconds, the needle on the EMF meter moved to its maximum, and the unit heated up to the point where it was too hot to hold. Ron dropped it to the floor, where it exploded with pieces scattering about. The device was shattered.
